This time I will write something short, it is what happened to me yesterday.
All weekends, a man comes at my home to sell tofu, which is the famous soy cheese used nowadays not only in Japanese cuisine but also in veggie food.
At home, tofu is prepared in different ways: fried, steamed with soy sauce and vegetables, champuru style (“crushed” with a ladle and mixed with eggs and vegetables, etc.)
But, this time I am not going to talk about the tofu, but what this man invited us to try: rectangular sata andagi.

Yes, the well known sata andagi (or “bombitas”, as is known in Peru) but in rectangular shape, and as we have seen in a previous post, they are round. |

The taste is the same, like the texture, but the only different thing is the shape, and he told us that is a lady who has felt like doing then in that shape, and she was giving away as samples.
In my opinion, if these rectangular sata andagi are started to be sold, probably they will be a hit, due to they long shape, which makes them easier to eat without crumbing; and for being small, we can eat them and chatting at same time (in case we are sharing them with friends).
Although they could be addictive, as a famous snack says: “once you pop, you can’t stop.
